CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Xayah
Age: Not stated, only info is early mid-twenties
Canon: League of Legends

World Description: Over Here

History: Over Here

Death: Xayah has dedicated her life to her cause- free her lands and tribe from the evil shadow magic that keeps corrupting them. Day after day she would travel far and wide, destroying the shrines- earning her a nickname "Violet Raven". With her soulmate at her side, Rakan, there was almost nothing that could stop her. But, as all things go eventually, her dedication (perhaps borderline obsession) was met with an unfortunate end. One of the shadow shrines Rakan and she attempted to destroy was too much for them to handle. First, she was injured by the Ninjas of the Shadows, only to be completely finished off- she gets stabbed in the gut by their leader, Zed. She continues to fight, however, and takes down the Shadow Shrine and priests, but then she succumbs to the wounds. Not even Rakan's magic can heal her and she dies in his arms.

What are your plans for this character in-game? She needs to accept that fighting for Vastaya is over. That her cause will be taken on by someone else- that she is actually vulnerable, living being.
She will eventually find a new cause to fight for because that's what she is in her soul- a fighter and a rebel.
She is very distrustful of humans and had killed hundreds of them in her quest to free the Vastaya, so she will need to learn how to trust them again. She doesn't regret doing what she did, but she needs to realize that these people here are not ones from where she comes and that yes- trusting others doesn't make you weak.
Also, a major point- she needs to get used to "life" without Rakan. As wayward as he is, Rakan was her stability and incredible support. Now she feels like she lost an arm. She is happy that he's still alive but silently mourns that she cannot be with him.

What aspects of this game and/or its setting are you most interested in having this character engage with? The dangerous exploration. Xayah is all about being wild and free so she probably won't spend much time near Bonfire (unless she is chitchatting with Rastus) or the Village. Forest is her thing and I am looking forward to having her look for the Forest Spirits. As much as she will respect them, her curious nature will want to learn more about them.

How does your character generally get along with other people? Anyone that isn't inherently human will score extra points with Xayah, right of the bat. Rastus, for example. Not only he isn't a human but a bird too! That's +50 points for Rastus! Humans, however... She has a really bad history with humans. Not only she murdered them because they destroyed her homeland and tribe, but a human ninja also killed her. When she was alive, she would definitively be instantly on the offensive- a feather dagger or two thrown the other person's way as a warning. But, since she is dead, and these people are not the ones she knows, she will approach them... warily. Suspiciously. As if ready to be betrayed, and she would not hesitate to stab back.

What is your character's mental state upon entering the game? Distraught. She's not sad that she died for the cause, she's sad because she cannot be with Rakan anymore. Or, at least, until he dies too. Her mourning for the lost life will make her mellow in the beginning, keeping the rebel fire in her on the down-low. This is the best chance to actually talk to her without fear of being stabbed by a feather- before she slaps herself and wakes up and says "fuck it" to everything.

Skills/Abilities: She doesn't have healing powers. If anything else needs to be nerfed, feel free to do it!

  • Clean Cuts:After casting an ability (see below), Xayah's next 3 attacks additionally penetrate through all enemies along a range line, dealing damage to her main target and pass-through damage to other enemies. At the end of their path, a Feather will be left in the ground for 6 seconds.
  • Double Daggers: Xayah throws two feather-blades in quick succession, dealing damage, and leaving two Feathers on the ground. Targets hit after the first, with a standard dagger feather, take 50% more damage.
  • Deadly Plumage: Xayah creates a storm of blades that grants her bonus attack speed and cause her basic attacks to strike an additional time for extra damage.
  • Featherstorm: Xayah leaps into the air, becoming untargetable for a few seconds, during which she is still able to move, then rains down daggers which deal damage and leave behind a line of 5 Feathers.
  • Bladecaller: All feathers that Xayah left in her wake through her previous abilities, she calls back to her, dealing damage to enemies they pass through. If one enemy is hit with a minimum three feathers, they become rooted to the ground (unable to move for a while.

Flaws/Weaknesses: Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on where you look at it), Xayah's biggest weakness is still alive and breathing. Or so she hopes. Rakan was her love, her mate, her companion and he was (and still is in a way) her biggest weakness. Despite her dedication to the cause, and despite all the denials, she would drop the mission she is on, just to make sure he is alright. Of course, in most cases, it was Rakan that looked after her and guarded her back. Without him here, after the mourning period, she might grow cold and distant, walling herself off from the others. It worked well for her before she met Rakan, so it will work again, right?

She is easily prone to getting angry, her temper impossibly short. She has a soft spot for wildlife, plants, and animals, for magic and freedom, and whenever those things are endangered in some capacity, her real side shows up. The Violet Raven doesn't hold back from pulling out her quills- she shoots to kill and she doesn't have any remorse about it. She tries not to let her anger leave her blindsided, but sometimes it's easier said than done. Things that she comes to love and respect, she protects with her life.

The long, bad history with humans makes her cynical more often than not. If someone has a bad start with her, she may become aloof and thoughtless towards them, not really caring about their wellbeing and can be resentful for very long periods of time. She is very hard to please and can become very nitpicky when her plans don't play out accordingly.

Personality: Out of the two (Rakan and herself), Xayah was the focused, intelligent one. She is good at planning and tactics; she always has a second plan up her sleeve if the first one goes wrong. And, since she works with Rakan, she always made sure she had third, fourth and fifth plan up there just in case. She is a very hardworking person and doesn't like things to be handed to her just because she flutters her lashes and has pretty feathers. She doesn't like being underestimated and enjoys proving everyone wrong when they do just that.

Xayah speaks fluent sarcasm sometimes and is always up for a good joke. Sure, she'll roll her eyes and pretend to be annoyed, but she isn't really if you can read the cue of her tilted lips and sarcastic retort. When in an exceptionally good mood, she is free-spirited and laughs easily, pokes fun at others and lets them poke fun at her. She is not an extrovert, however, and likes her alone time, but if she considers you a friend of hers, then you may bother her at any time.

If you respect her, she will return the respect. If you respect freedom and her view on things, she will respect you even more. She doesn't get attached easily to others so, if she considers you a friend, you better mark the calendar, because that's not a simple title of 'friend'.

    Items:
  • She wears her long, purple feather cloak
  • She has several golden feathers that she keeps hidden and protected
  • Three bottles of health potion
